First Project Update

Here it is Wednesday January 20^th, 2010.  First project update. 

The youth team has arrived at the Harris Resort in Batam Indonesia.  Many of the youth team have made a great deal of changes to their everyday personal and working lives in order to be here.

The travel times have varied from 6 hours to 32 hours, some arriving a day early or a day later, according to flight availability.

 Harris Resort has given everyone an incredible welcome.  The staff, services, accommodations, meals and attention have gone well above and beyond any expectations.  Batam’s friendly smiles and heart filled environment has become the new home for this stay.

 Many heartfelt thanks go out to Harris Resort and the Project Investors.  Helping Hands Youth Project, Indonesia 2010, would not have been possible without you.

Today, Wednesday is a team rest day from travel.  We will begin our work with the children in the orphanages on Thursday.

Join Us

We extend a unique invitation to join us in a positive healing partnership to integrate young adults from varied back grounds from more than 3 continents with the orphanage children of Batam Indonesia’s more than 21 orphanages’, as well as the Orang Asli Tribe of the Tiamar Jungle, Malaysia,  creating awareness & supporting heath & well-being in excess of 1000 children, youth, adults & staff!

This Youth Team of 12 young adults have all been trained as BodyTalk Access Technicians & Certified BodyTalk Practitioners with each and everyone all personally experiencing the life changing advantages & healing with the Body Talk System.

Harris Resorts have committed their entire Batam facilities, executive management, extraordinary sales staff and more than 200 legendary resort support team to this project. Without this sponsorship this project would not be possible & we are extremely grateful for the support.

 While based at Harris Resort in Batam, Indonesia. The Youth Team will work one on one in the local orphanages utilizing their individual BodyTalk skills to aid & assist the health & wellbeing of the children in the orphanages.   The Youth Team will support Certified BodyTalk Instructors in guiding the children to learn the BodyTalk Access Techniques leaving these children with life long self healing skills following the concept of “Teaching the Fisherman to Fish” & not creating a co dependence on the Youth Team.

Harris Resort Batam, General Manager, Stylianos A. Koureas, with Certified Body Talk Instructor/Certified Advanced Practitioner Loesje Jacob, will coordinate the Youth Team & supporters.

During the two week experience in Batam the Youth Team will be exposed to all of the realities of life at various Indonesian Orphanages (Muslim, Christian & privately operated)  and similar experiences while in the Tiamar Jungle with the Orang Asli Tribe. This beneficial exchange will create growth and awareness for the Youth Team, the Orphanage children & Orang Asli.

We look forward to witnessing the development of the Youth Team as they embrace this opportunity.  As well as observing the Youth re-evaluate the directions of their own lives & positively affect the life path they may choose to navigate, & embrace the positive experiences that can be discovered in some of the worlds’ disadvantaged situations & unexpected locations!
